Coconut is such a great spice and what a delight it is. It is so versatile and tastes so good.
You can put coconut butter or coconut oil into anything you make. You can’t beat the flavor and the benefits. However it’s a very different story for the consumption of the fruit than it is for its benefit to us. Most people are unaware that you can actually eat the fruit.
I asked this question to a nutritionist friend of mine and she replied “Just how would you answer if someone asked you to just eat the fruit?” Well the answer is actually quite simple.

Diet is another important health issue to consider. When you substitute the nut for one of the other carbohydrates like white bread, it becomes much more beneficial. That is why the nut is such a wonderful choice for some foods.
Coconut oil or coconut butter is a great way to add a little extra nutrition to your diet. It does provide essential fatty acids, minerals and vitamins.
Coconut milk is also good for those who are lactose intolerant. In addition to coconut oil or butter, coconut milk is used to keep dairy products properly balanced and it is actually healthier for you. It provides us with protein and fiber, as well as fat.
Coconut milk is used in many dishes, and some people even say that it helps give an intense flavor to pasta. It has a unique taste that is far more interesting than regular milk and does not get watered down. So you can certainly be healthier with this delicious treat.
Although you might find some recipes to replace coconut with almond or cashew nuts, I’d like to share my two cents about the traditional way of consuming the fruit. Almond butter is a great replacement for the nut as a tasty treat, however a lot of people do not like almonds, and cashews don’t taste as good as coconut. So I would recommend that you make the switch to coconut butter and try it out, just for the amazing taste.
It is a better alternative for the nut. But people do enjoy a good chocolate, so why not indulge, if you have to?
